This page is a catalog and description of all the header images (the big wide ones at the top of each page) that I am using for this site. The different pictures appear randomly whenever you goto a different page or refresh the current one. The originals are all on my Flickr site along with descriptions – the set can be accessed through this link. Or click here for a slideshow on Flickr. Alternatively, just keep looking at different pages here and you’ll see the pictures in context.
The trick with these images is they have to be 970 x 140 pixels (or larger but with the same aspect ratio). So the fun is in finding long thin slices of normal photos that look good when cut out. Certainly some work better than others.
I took all of the photos myself. Locations range from Australia, Japan, and New England through to Sheffield, Derbyshire, and a couple of UK coastal regions.
